VXI Looks to Hire 300 at Youngstown Call Center

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – VXI Global Solutions, LLC hopes to hire 300 new customer care positions at its Youngstown call center starting October 21, 2013 to serve a brand new client, the company announced.  A job fair will be held Friday and Saturday, 10/11 and 10/12 from 10am to 3pm each day.

“The new positions will meet the needs of customer for a leading money transfer provider,” said Stacey Matthew, Managing Director Talent Acquisition, for the Los Angeles based company. “We will hire 300 by the end of the year but the hiring will continue beyond that,” she said. Travelling distance . Hiring for the positions is under way now.

VXI now employs approximately 900 representatives at the Youngstown call center, which it has operated for four years. VXI took over the space in the Federal Place Building in Downtown Youngstown, the former Pharmor Building.

“We are excited to be growing our workforce in Youngstown,” said David Zhou, COO. “This expansion will allow us to provide wonderful career opportunities to more of the community.”

The Youngstown site was chosen because of the “quality of the work at this location” Matthew said. The associates, who will provide customer care to the money transfer provider’s customers, will earn a competitive wage and qualify for full-time benefits such as health care after 90 days.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of customer service experience, intermediate computer skills and the ability to work flexible shifts. Individuals can apply at the VXI call center at 20 W Federal Street or online.
